Western therapy treats symptoms, but not the underlying disease causing them. Eastern treatment rectifies energy disturbances of the body, which are deemed by the Chinese to be the underlying cause of all physical syndromes. Using a combination of western anesthetic techniques such as nerve blocks, trigger point injections, epidurals, and neurolytic procedures to control symptoms, and eastern modalities such as acupuncture, auricular therapy, Chinese herbs, biomagnetics, and nutritional therapy to correct energy disharmonies, this study attempts to validate the energy concept by reversing chronic disorders without the use of drugs or surgery.
