CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME, LOW BACK PAIN
MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH DR. TONG WAS A YEAR AGO WHEN I STARTED HAVING LOWER BACK PROBLEMS. BEFORE GOING TO DR. TONG I WAS SEEING A CHIROPRACTOR THREE TIMES A WEEK, FOR THREE MONTHS, AND DURING THAT TIME I SAW NO IMPROVEMENT WITH MY LOWER BACK PROBLEMS. THEN I SOUGHT HELP FROM DR. TONG. AFTER SEEING DR. TONG FOR ONE MONTH, TWICE A WEEK, THE PAIN DISAPPEARED AND I WAS ABLE TO CONTINUE WITH MY REGULAR EXERCISE PROGRAM, RIDING MY MOTORCYCLE, AND ABLE TO ENJOY LIFE WITHOUT PAIN.
AT THE PRESENT TIME I AM NOW UNDER DR. TONG’S CARE AGAIN, THIS TIME TO RELIEVE THE PAINS ASSOCIATED WITH WHAT A NEUROLOGIST CLAIMED IS CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME. I HAVE BEEN UNDER HIS CARE FOR ONE MONTH NOW, AND HAVE BEEN RECEIVING NERVE BLOCK INJECTIONS AND ELECTRICAL NERVE STIMULATION. THE COMBINATION OF THESE TREATMENTS HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN RESTORING USE OF MY HAND AND ALLOWED ME TO KEEP WORKING WITHOUT LOSS OF WORK OR THE ASSOCIATED INCOME. I AM EMPLOYED AS A MANICURIST, SO WHEN I DO NOT WORK I DO NOT GET PAID. MORE IMPORTANTLY THESE TREATMENTS ARE NON-INVASIVE AS WOULD HAVE BEEN THE CASE WITH THE DRUGS OR SURGERY PREVIOUSLY PRESCRIBED BY THE NEUROLOGIST.
I FEEL VERY FORTUNATE TO KNOW DR. TONG. HE HAS BEEN ABLE TO HELP ME WITHOUT DRUGS OR SURGERY, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, HIS TREATMENTS HAVE ALLOWED ME TO KEEP WORKING. I AM ALSO ONE OF THE FORTUNATE WOMEN TO HAVE INSURANCE COVERAGE THROUGH MY HUSBANDS INSURANCE PLAN. I DO NOT BELIEVE I WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PAY FOR THIS MEDICAL TREATMENT ON MY INCOME, ESPECIALLY IF I WAS UNEMPLOYED DUE TO THE CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME EFFECTS.
I SINCERELY HOPE THAT WHEN YOU SET UP YOUR NATIONAL HEALTH CARE PLAN, THAT YOU PERMIT PAYMENTS FOR LICENSED NON-TRADITIONAL MEDICAL TREATMENTS (MASSAGE THERAPY, ACUPUNCTURE, AND OTHER PRESCRIBED TREATMENTS WHICH DEAL WITH HEALING THE BODY WITHOUT DRUGS OR SURGERY) SUCH AS DR. TONGS.
SINCERELY,
CHRISTINA C.
As a teacher and part-time house painter, my hands are extremely important to me. This past summer I injured my right hand while painting and had the situation diagnosed as carpal tunnel syndrome. In layman terms, it has to do with inflammation of the wrist caused by strain. The result was discomforting; partial loss of feeling and movement in my thumb and two fingers caused me to become very concerned.
I received a wrist brace and some anti-inflammatory medication and was told by my orthopedic surgeon to “give it time”. If things didn’t change after several weeks, I would have to have surgery. This was just before the school year was to start – and I didn’t have time!
My closest friend, David Rich, told me of a remarkable man who combines an even more remarkable process known as acupuncture with western medicine. After three weeks and a dozen or so visits to Dr. Tong’s office, I now have complete use of my hand and fingers. Dr. Tong’s staff treat me with nothing less than the utmost care and concern and I will always be in their debt!

I could hardly walk when I came. I’m walking much better now. I’m using my hands better. Everybody here is super–The Best!

CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME, HEADACHES, SINUS PROBLEMS, AND FAILED SURGERY
August 20, 1992
Before coming to Dr. Tong, I was having headaches and sinus problems and low back pain. I had taken for sinus (1) Augmentin, (2) Penicillin (3) Ceclor (4) Amoxicillin. None of these were able to help. I was taking Halicon for sleep and Florinal for headaches and Lastex for kidneys. Since coming to Dr. Tong, I have been able to function without all these medications and I feel stronger and able to do much more. My reason for trying Dr. Tong is that my ENT Dr. wanted to do a surgery on my sinus, because I was constantly having infection and it caused me to have very bad headaches. Thanks to Dr. Tong things are getting better and I have taken the herbs and they also seem to help. I want to continue with treatments to see if this can help me even more. I was also on Felixril for pain. I also had a myconeurodyanatic test that said I also had the beginning of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I also had surgery on both feet for heel spurs and my feet hurt especially after a days work and Dr. Tong treatment has also helped this as well as being able to help digest food better.

SCIATICA, CHRONIC FATIGUE, CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME, MENOPAUSE, DEPRESSION
I have been coming to you off and on since 1991 and each and every time you have been able to reduce my pain and cure my problem.
In 1991, I came to you after seeing a chiropractor for three months for a pinched sciatic nerve. I was going three times a week for electric stimulation and adjustments, neither of which helped. My husband finally suggested that I see you because you had done so much to relieve his Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. After just three visits, I was able to stand up straight, and my pain was greatly reduced. It took another seven visits before the pain was all gone, and I was able to fulfill my dream to travel across the US on a motorcycle with my husband.
In 1993, I returned to you with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. This time I did not even bother to go see a neurologist. The repetitive motion as a manicurist, along with being very depressed about my job, contributed to the problem. Your treatments helped reduce my pain and surprisingly also lifted my depression. It took four visits before the numbness and shooting pains began to rescind. After that it was a matter of several visits and one month off work before I had full control and no more pain. What was so great was that I did not need surgery or drugs to deal with this problem.
In January of 1995, I was in “full blown” menopause. I had hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, and bouts of the blues. I was irritable, had memory loss, sleeplessness, and vaginal dryness. The skin on my face became dry and, at the age of 42, I had pimples and a facial rash. My gynecologist put me on estrogen and progesterone. I decided to go see you. You said that the hormones were not good for me because they cause the female organs to shrivel up and die. For the first month I took the hormones while being treated by you. I was afraid to go off them because of the relief they had given me. You reminded me of all the good you had done for me and that I had to trust you. So in the second month, I terminated the hormones. I was pleased that none of my symptoms had returned and my menstrual cycle had begun again. The third month I further reduced your treatments. Still, none of my symptoms have returned and I am still menstruating on my own. I am now in my fourth month and down to one treatment a week. I feel great and I am very pleased that I am in control of my body. I did go back for a three month review with my gynecologist and told him what had been happening. You can believe his response.
