Welford was referred by a friend to see Dr. Tong after his kidney functions decreased rapidly after a flu shot and dialysis was ineffective. He reported that due to his decreased kidney functions, he experienced insomnia, fatigue, difficulties breathing and ankle swelling. Dialysis was able to provide temporary relief for his breathing difficulties and ankle swelling, but not for his insomnia and fatigue. After the first treatment, Welford was able to breathe easily and did not have any difficulties falling asleep later that night. With continued treatment, all of his symptoms has decreased.
