Severe Knee Injury, Neck Pain - (Larry, see #1 9-9-00, from Newport Beach, CA) - This former Wimbledon contender consulted several doctors including orthopedic surgeons who recommended knee replacement surgery for a severe knee injury from tennis. He could not play tennis for a year, went to physical therapy for strengthening exercises, had his knees drained four times (which continued swelling each time), had cortisone injections, and was put on medication, all to no avail. After consulting Dr. Tong, he was back on the tennis court in a matter of weeks. In the past, Dr. Tong also treated Larry for a wrist and neck problem from an auto accident 25 years ago. His wrist bones fused, greatly decreasing mobility and his neck was in constant pain. With Dr. Tong's treatments, he has gained flexibility in his wrist and has experienced an 85% improvement in his neck pain. Recently, Larry suffered from severe arm pain from tennis, which was 95% improved after one treatment. This allowed him to compete and win in a national tennis tournament in Arizona, something that he would not have been able to do with an injured arm. Dr. Tong has also treated Larry's whole family with positive results.
Inflammation of the Joints, Mycoplasma Pneumonia (Dave, see #60 12-8-01, #61 12-15-01)- Caller - experienced inflammation in his joints. He had difficulty getting up, had a stiff neck for 15 months and lost 30 pounds. He went to see a doctor outside of his HMO and test results found that he was positive for Mycoplasma Pneumonia. He had to go through a heart specialists in order to get referred to an infectious disease specialist. His heart specialist diagnosed him with colon cancer after looking at his blood tests despite the fact that he had no symptoms of colon dysfunction and without a biopsy test! He took Viox for one month, which has only give him temporary relief of his joint pain. He will be consulting Dr. Tong next month.
Emphysema - (George, see #52 10-6-01, see #55 10-27-01 from San Diego, CA) - Follow-up interview. George was diagnosed for ten years with emphysema (used to smoke). Consulted 5 different doctors, 4 of which were pulmonary specialists, who told him to learn to live with it because there is no cure for emphysema. Complaints included shortness of breath, chest pain, difficulty in smelling, difficulty in walking, couldn't lie down without trouble breathing. He also had sleeping problems and had to take oxygen or inhalers to sleep. His energy level also decreased significantly from the disease and his weight dropped from 192 to 168. After his first visit with Dr. Tong, he could walk and breathe better, he could smell what he was breathing, he had no chest pain, and slept for 2 and 1/2 hours without waking up that first night. After his second treatment, he walked all the way down the building without having to catch his breath. He has become a completely new person, with energy, vitality, and his depression has lifted. He has now had 12 treatments with Dr. Tong and he has cut down half of his inhalers for emphysema. He has completely cut off his internal medication. Now George has the energy to exercise on the treadmill and the oximeter reading of his oxygen content has increased from 84% to 92%.

Extreme Fatigue, Foggy Mind, Shoulder Pain, Hip Pain, Dry Eyes, Chronic Hives, Depression, Digestive Problems, Post Nasal Drip - (Kitty, originally from Baton Rouge, LA) - realtor who moved to San Diego 2 months ago and was referred to Dr. Tong by a friend. Complained of extreme fatigue, foggy mind, shoulder pain, right hip pain, dry eyes, chronic hives, mild depression, digestive problems such as nausea after bowel movements and constipation, and post nasal drip. She feels that many of her symptoms arose from emotional trauma in her family, stress from her job, and raising 4 daughters. She has suffered from her digestive problems all her life and was diagnosed at the University of Alabama with Lupus 3 months ago. Her symptoms were getting progressively worse. The only medication she tried were steroids for her hives, which did not help. Her fatigue was very debilitating and eventually resulted in disability from work. She has had 4 treatments with Dr. Tong and has found much improvement. Her mind is clearer, she has more energy, her digestion is better, and the pain in her shoulder and hip are completely eliminated. After her very first treatment, she has felt more emotionally stable and she feels closer to her family. She now feels that she will soon be able to work again with continued treatments.
Spinal Stenosis, Osteoarthritis, Low Back Pain, Kidney Damage - (Diane, see #62 1-5-02, from Anaheim, CA) - Once owned a lucrative house cleaning service 10 years ago until she became debilitated from a serious auto accident. She suffered from major damage to her spine, spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis with pain in her low back, legs, and right hand, and severe kidney damage. Was put on a spinal stimulator with wires in her. She had a metal piece inserted in her back and could not walk without a walker. For the past year, she has also suffered from incontinence and diarrhea. Also diagnosed with bi-polar disorder about 6 years ago and has experienced severe fatigue for the past 2 years, which has gotten progressively worse. Her appetite fluctuates from no appetite at all to a large appetite and she has been depressed and has short term memory loss. She has had 3 treatments with Dr. Tong and she no longer needs a cane or walker or spinal stimulator in order to walk and her back pain is much improved. Her mental capabilities are back. She is now off all her medication for her manic depression. She feels confident that if she stays on Dr. Tong's treatment schedule, she will be able to go back to work in a few months. Her depression is much better and most importantly she feels mentally capable again.
Severe Bleeding, Anemia, Hepatitis C, Edema, Esophageal Reflux, Itching, Gallstones, Vertigo, Diarrhea - (Barbara, see #55 10-27-01, #60 12-8-01, #64 1-19-02) Bleeding to death, hemoglobin (Hb) went down to 2 and had 16 pint blood transfusion. It went up to 8.8 but started going down again. After treatments with Dr. Tong, her Hb went back up again to 8.7. She could not move or think. She suffered from bleeding from her stomach, severe anemia, hepatitis C, edema in her legs, esophageal reflux, itching, gallstones, vertigo, and diarrhea. She has had 8 treatments with Dr. Tong and she feels alive again. She has energy to do things she could not do before and her symptoms are much improved. With continued treatments, she feels that her Hb will go back to the normal range, which is 12 or higher.
Mary - (caller) suffers from severe pain in her left heel for the past 4 months.
Osteoporosis, Gallbladder Disease, Kidney Problems, Liver Problems, Weight Loss, Lung Cancer, Lung Infections, Heart Palpitations - (Midge from Irvine, CA) - Retired school teacher for 20 years suffering from osteoporosis, gallbladder disease, kidney problems, liver problems, weight loss, a history of lung cancer, chronic lung infection, and heart palpitations. When she first came into Dr. Tong's office, she was spitting yellow mucus, she was short of breath, coughing, and had phelgm in her lungs. She was put on antibiotics by a lung specialist for 3 months for a lung infection, to no avail. After her first treatment with Dr. Tong, she was no longer coughing or spitting and she didn't need any more antibiotics. She has more energy now and she is less depressed. She has only had 2 treatments with Dr. Tong but she is breathing much better and feels like she is living in a different world, talking non-stop whereas in the past she was always short of breath.

Bowel Problems, Strangulated Hernia - (Agnes from San Gabriel Valley, Retired) - Five years ago, she went in for a physical after joining an HMO. Had blood work done and was told by her doctor that she had to go on antibiotics for a urinary tract infection, even though she had no symptoms. On the eighth day she was on the medication, she became ill and ran a temperature. She started feeling pain in her pelvic area and the doctors found a polyp in her pelvis. She also underwent surgery to have a tumor in her sigmoid colon removed. However, the tumor returned and she had chemotherapy and radiation for two months to have her tumor dissolved. The cancer treatment resulted in severe side effects including bowel problems and a stragulated hernia. She has been listening to Dr. Tong's radio show since last spring but did not begin treatments with him until recently. Her energy is much improved and the abdominal pain from her surgery is gradually dissipating. She has had 5 treatments with Dr. Tong and her bowels are now normal. She has also noticed that since she has been on Dr. Tong's wellness program (homeopathic drops and supplements), her skin is much smoother.
Parotid Tumor, Cysts, Abdomen Pain, Eye Inflammation, Hearing Loss, Insomnia, Anxiety, Anger, Skin Irritation - (Chris from Morena Valley) - Works in the transportation industry. Felt horrible before he went to see Dr. Tong. He had a parotid tumor on the left side of his face for 4 years, cysts in his head, right abdomen tightness and pain, right eye inflammation, hearing loss on his right side, insomnia, stress, anxiety, anger, tight neck and shoulders, and skin irritation on his penis. He had an MRI done and found that the tumor was benign. However, he still felt terrible. After 2 treatments with Dr. Tong, the pain in his back and neck is much improved. He has more energy now and is more relaxed. His insomnia is better and his eyes have cleared up. The tumor, which was the size of a ping pong ball is also starting to shrink and he now feels like he can get through the week.
