Marjorie This patient had been treated since 1984 by more than 50 neurologists, including evaluation at Scripps Institute and consultation with an expert at NIH. None of the treatments resulted in any improvement. In fact, the muscle spasm and twisting were so severe that they caused a torn knee ligament.
