Herniated Disc in Neck, Shoulder Pain, Back pain, Hip Pain, Leg Pain, Diabetes - Marilla (see #95 11-2-02, #102 1-11-03 from Irvine, CA) - This registered nurse has been suffering from neck pain for almost 10 years after injuring herself at work.  She has had chronic pain from her head to her toes.  She had one surgery which gave her initial relief.  She had horrific pain in her C5, C6, C7 area.  Her orthopedic surgeons did not recommend surgery.  She was put on anti-inflammatories, physical therapy, chiropractics, and had an epidural every two weeks because of her excruciating pain.  Two weeks ago, she heard Dr. Tong's radio show on KPLS and decided that she had nothing to lose.  After her first treatment, she started to have hope.  The second treatment made a big difference.  She had neck shoulder, back, and sacroo-iliac relief.  After her third treatment, she had tremendous pain relief and felt again that her life was worth living.  She was on 12-14 medications before she came to see Dr. Tong and now has dropped them down to 2-3 medications.
High Blood Pressure, Lupus Induced Symptoms from Medication, Anxiety, Shortness of Breath - (Linda, see #89 9-7-02, from San Diego, CA) In January of 2002, Linda, Dr. Tong's sister-in-law, was diagnosed with high blood pressure (180/100).  She was put on a number of medications and finally ended up with Aldamet.  After 3 months on the medication, her blood pressure still spiked and she developed a lupus reaction and had constant joint pain, joint swelling, and nerve pain.  She was in despair and became anxious.  The doctors wanted to put her on anti-depressants, but she did not feel depressed.  She stopped the Aldamet and was put on Xanax for her anxiety.  She finally decided to see Dr. Tong.  After her first treatment, her chest pain and tingling sensation in her arms were gone.  She didn't feel like she was having a heart attack anymore and she could breathe again.  After her 2nd treatment, her anxiety decreased substantially and she dropped her medications.  She also noticed great improvement in her diaphragmatic breathing and could meditate.  After her 3rd treatment her blood pressure stabilized at 130/72.  She now has no joint pain, no joint swelling, and minimal chest pain.  She is also on herbs and homeopathic medicine which has also helped her greatly.
Asthma (20 years), Chronic right leg and knee pain (Rick - from Costa Mesa CA) - Rick works at a software company and has suffered from asthma for the past 20 years and chronic right leg pain for 25 years from a football injury.  He has been on 5 different medications for his asthma which has controlled his symptoms but also scares him as he did not want to have to depend on medication for the rest of his life.  He was on Albuterol one night which helped a little.  However, one night he was jogging and he suddenly could not breathe, even after taking his medication.  Rick decided to see Dr. Tong.  Rick was in bad shape upon his first treatment with Dr. Tong.  His breathing was constricted, he had a bad cold and leg pain.  Afterwards, he could breathe better and his leg pain was gone.  By the 3rd treatment, he had no constriction in his breathing and he has not been on medication for the last 6 days after 3 years on constant medication.

Stress, Low Back Pain, Shoulder Pain, Neck Pain, Sinus Problems, Headaches, Cancer - (Helen - from the East Coast - Port St. Lucy, Florida and Vermont) - Helen is retired and received one treatment from Dr. Tong 10 years ago for chronic low back pain.  After her treatment, she felt like $1 million.  Her sinus problems subsided, she had no headache and she could breathe easier.  Now, ten years later, her daughter Joanne was diagnosed with cancer and came to consult Dr. Tong.  She was taking morphine 2-3 tablets every 3 hours.  After one dose of chemotherapy, she knew that it was not for her.  After treatments with Dr. Tong, Joanne is doing better and her pain is better.  She has dropped her morphine tablets to 1 tablet every 6 hours.  With her daughter diagnosed with cancer, Helen has been under tremendous stress and pain in her back and shoulder.  After 2 treatments with Dr. Tong, Helen feels 75% improved.
Stress, High Blood Pressure, Low Back Pain, Leg Pain, Cold Hands and Feet, Rash, Cholesterol > 300, Hypothyroid, Fatigue - (Ethel - from Moreno Valley see #149 2-28-04) - This 71 year old retired woman suffered from low back pain for 35 years, pain in her legs since childhood, a skin rash since 1998, and was diagnosed with high blood pressure and high cholesterol 5 years ago.   She went the conventional route where her doctors prescribed up to 7 different medications for her conditions all to no avail.  She heard Dr. Tong on the radio and decided to consult him in April.  After her first treatment she discontinued all her medication.  Her blood pressure went from 162/86 and has now stabilized at 168/69.  She still has slight lower back pain when she exercises and walks.  However, because she is on Medicare (where treatments are limited), she has only had 5 treatments with Dr. Tong.
Low Back Pain, Degenerative Arthritis, Congenital Deformity in Neck, Immune Deficiency, Frequent Sinusitis/ Colds, Lactose Intolerance, Food Poisoning, Depression - (Steve, see #1 9-9-00, # 156 5-22-04, #197 4-16-05 from Spring Valley Lake, CA) - Steve has consulted Dr. Tong for the last 14 years.  In 1985, he suffered from back pain from an auto accident.  He went to doctors who put him on pain medication. He also had a congenital deformity in his neck and went to chiropractors which gave him slight relief, but he still could not work.  He had no energy because he was in constant pain.  He also went to UCLA and Scripps for help.  They conducted numerous tests on him and told him there was nothing wrong with him.  They put him on anti-depressants.  He took half a pill and got lost on his way home.  After treatments with Dr. Tong, Steve's energy has increased greatly and his pain has decreased significantly.  He can now work up to 12 hours whereas he could barely work 2 hours before.  He now has a zest for life.  Steve was also lactose intolerant and anything with dairy in it made him sick.  Two to three treatments with Dr. Tong allowed him to eat ice cream again and he has been able to eat dairy ever since.  A year ago, he also suffered from an acute attack of food poisoning (he believes it was Salmonella from chicken).  He was staying at a hotel and could not leave for 3 days.  One treatment with Dr. Tong and he was fine within a few hours.  Treatments with Dr. Tong have also boosted Steve's immunity.

Degenerating Small Brain, Cerebellar Ataxia, Speech Problems - (Barbara, see #88 8-31-02 from Maryland) - In October of 2001, Barbara started having problems walking, writing, and talking.  She consulted several doctors, including physicians at Johns Hopkins.  All of them had no idea what was wrong with her, as her MRI's came out normal.  The doctors finally diagnosed her with Cerebellar Ataxia, where her cerebellum was degenerating causing problems with her balance and motor function.  Her walking became progressively wobbly and she began slurring her words.  She decided to come to California to consult Dr. Tong.  She has had 6 consecutive treatments now.  Both her balance and speech have greatly improved the past week.  She can now walk normally and she can even run now .  She now has hope that she will have continued improvement with Dr. Tong's treatments.  Compare Barbara's speech with the way she talked 1 week ago!  8-31-02
Pelvic Pain, Pain with Intercourse, Hormonal Imbalance, Irregular Periods, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Hirsutism, Alopecia - (Andrea, see # 116 5-3-03, #161 7-10-04, #184 1-8-05 from Rancho Cucamonga) - This 3rd year medical student from Western University of Health Sciences has suffered from irregular periods for 10 years and pelvic pain as well as painful intercourse for 2 years.  She consulted 3 doctors including a gynecologist who diagnosed her with polycystic ovarian syndrome.  She had cysts all over her ovaries, which were causing her much pain.  She was put on birth control, which regulated her period, but did nothing to help her pain.  She has had 2 treatments with Dr. Tong and her pain is now completely gone.
Chronic Back Pain, Muscular Dystrophy, Allergies, Sleep Apnea, Burping, Sinusitis - (Diana, see #71 3-16-02, from Orange County CA) Diana does product and motivational seminars for various cosmetic companies such as Cover Girl, Max Factor, and Olay.  She has a 12 year history of chronic back pain and was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy two years ago.  She consulted neurosurgeons, 2 orthopedic surgeons, received cortisone epidurals, and high anti-inflammatories, which were giving her rashes and upset stomach.  She went through numerous tests, CT scans, MRI's, nerve conductions tests, and an electromyography test.  She was then sent to the UCLA Neuromuscular department where she was subsequently diagnosed with muscular dystrophy.  They told her that there was no cure and no treatment.  They advised her to quit her job because she would most likely be in a wheelchair within a decade.  She also suffered from allergies, sleep apnea, burping, and sinusitis.  She found Dr. Tong on the internet and was interested in his holistic approach to treating patients.  She consulted Dr. Tong and her back pain improved after the very first visit.  Now her back is virtually pain free.  Her legs, in about 2 weeks, have visual improvement where the muscle has come back in size and strength.  She can now go down stairs without using the handrails and she can get out of the car without using her hands to lift herself out.  Everything is becoming easier for her to do and her strength is increasing day by day.  She is now off all her prescription and over the counter medication.  Her allergies and her sinusitis are much improved and her burping has also ceased.  Diana also had many emotional problems from the past.  She is now emotionally stable and had the opportunity to get these past events out of her system.  She is happier, more optimistic, and is following a better diet and can now practice yoga.
